My rabbit feels underweight and it's getting cold out. I need to get her to gain wait fast. I'm thinking of taking her inside for the winter but i don't know what i'd keep her in. I've never taken her in for winter before so i don't know how her body would react. i just don't want her to die from being underweight during winter. She's only about 3 or 4 years old.How can i get my rabbit to gain wait fast?
1. if your rabbit is underweight, ';do not I repeat do not force feed it especially if it is a rabbit that needs a certain amount of food in a day (ex. Polish, Mini Rex, Netherland Dwarfs) or do not give it helpings and helpings a day of food. This will significantly reduce the life span of the rabbit so do not force feed or overfeed. Bring her to a certified veterinarian in your area and he will tell you what you can do to help your rabbit.
2. We have brought rabbits inside for the winter and they seemed to react well as long as you don't put them back out in the cold (wait till spring)How can i get my rabbit to gain wait fast?
You can feed her lots of like, dried fruit and treats and don't let her run around too much. My rabbit is super fat since she broke her leg and couldn't run around and we didn't feed her large amounts of food.
