How do i sell my rabbit to a pet store or other place where it can be taken care of?

the rabbit was given to me by a friend who couldnt take care of the rabbit anymore because the place that he moved to didnt accept animals. Me and my family feel that it is too much responsibility to take care of the rabbit and our house doesnt have enough space for the rabbit to walk around more freely. the biggest place that it can walk around is in my basement, but i would have to rabbit proof everything, and supervise the rabbit and i dont have the time. I also dont want to run the risk of the rabbit chewing on cables. i feel that it should belong to someone with a rabbit sanctuary or someone who is more determined to take good care of it. Me and my family arent really pet people since we never thought about getting a pet and were never prepared to care for a rabbit. How do i sell my rabbit to a pet store or other place where it can be taken care of?

Call your local humane society or ASPCA. They will take the rabbit off your hands and find it a forever home.
I would suggest calling your local animal shelter or the animal control office for your town, and they should have suggestions for you.

You could also post it at the grocery store and local pet stores to see if anyone wants it.
Give it to the SPCA
try and find a local chapter in your area http://www.rabbit.org
You can't sell the rabbit. You most likely can bring it to your local aspca shelter and tell them your story.

I thought rabbits could live in cages, maybe I was mistaken. But maybe before you took in the rabbit you should have thought, hmm, can we take care of it? Now instead of your friend having to deal with it, its you. Something to think about.
So sad to think that pets can just be shuffled around. I would gladly take the bunny. I have 2 already, plus 4 guines pigs etc...I am not sure a pet store will take the buns..sighing..wtf can't people be more responsible??

My buns run free daily
Make a flier and put it in the super market news board, for $4.00 you can take an add in the ';penny savers'; or just go to Pet Smart and ask them if they can take your rabbit and find it a loving home.

PS. In not rabbit season......Take the time to find it a safe place.....Smile....with two big front teeth:%26lt;%26gt;)
Careful - a lot people out there eat Rabbit. Know who you entrust with this little fella he might end up in a frying pan.
go on the net and look for pet sotre .
Gibe it to someone for a pet. A pet store will not take good care of it.
Where are yoy located?

You may want to search the web to find a rabbit rescue in your area and see if they can take it. A rabbit rescue will not put the rabbit down for lack of space, and will make sure it goes to a rabbit-savvy home.
Call a pet sanctuary or a pet store and ask them...
Put an ad in the pet store window, Or in a school newspaper, local trading post or newspaper. saying free rabbit to a good home. Or just call the pet store and ask if they will accept the rabbit. Bye bye bunny , I hope you get a good home with lots of organic vegies.
I'll take care of it for you, and also, could you throw in a box of Shake and Bake?
